Susana Sargento was invited to speak at the Portugal Digital Summit’s “Extreme Mobile” Tech Immersion Talk, where she addressed key aspects of digitalization in Portugal, particularly focusing on the digital transformation of cities and mobility, and the potential future impacts.

During the panel discussion, Susana Sargento, our senior researcher and professor at the University of Aveiro, and Nuno Parreira, Head of the Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, explored the innovative products and services developed for the upcoming 5G mobile networks. They highlighted how 3D printing could soon allow for the instant replication of objects, the versatility of Cloud services offering virtually anything on demand, and the potential of 5G-powered holograms to simultaneously enable virtual presence in multiple locations.

The Portugal Digital Summit is an initiative focused on the country's economy and digital transformation. Organized annually by ACEPI (Portuguese Digital Economy Association) since 2003, this event is a key platform for discussing the future of digitalization in Portugal.
