The 2023 Call for Scientific Research and Technological Development (IC&DT) Projects in All Scientific Domains will fund 768 projects, with a total investment of €176.6 million. Launched and managed by the PT2030 structures, the call received 2,551 applications through the Balcão dos Fundos portal.
The overall investment is co-funded by European funds, including COMPETE2030 and the Regional Programs of the North, Lisbon, and Algarve, as well as by resources from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through the State Budget.
Five of our researchers were awarded funding in this call: Ana Charas (IT/IST), in Organic Electronics; Ricardo Oliveira (IT/UA) and Tiago Alves (IT/ISCTE), both in Optics and Photonics; Duarte Raposo (IT/UA), in Networks and Services; and António Pinheiro (IT/UBI), in Information and Data Sciences (Multimedia Signal Processing).
This call will support at least 768 research projects over a period of 36 months, with a maximum funding of €250,000 per project.
