Beatriz Manata de Oliveira concluded her MsC in Electronics and Computer Engineering on September 2017 in Universidade de Coimbra. She is currently a PhD student in Electronics Engineering at Universidade de Aveiro and works in Optical Communication Systems at Instituto de Telecomunicações - Aveiro, focusing in topics such as coherent communications, nonlinear compensation using digital predistortion, and digital signal processing.
She received 4 awards, one being the "Best Oral Presentation Award" at ICTON 2018.
As an IEEE member, she was part of the organization of 1 national event. She was also part of the executive committee as secretary from 2016 to 2017 in the IEEE University of Coimbra Student Branch. She joined the OSA Student Chapter at University of Aveiro in 2019.
