Abstract
This paper presents a characterization of machined long cracks by performing measurements at two different directions not necessarily orthogonal. The evaluation is using eddy current technique which is one of the most used non destructive evaluation methods for conductive materials using a giant magnetoresistor (GMR) sensor as the measuring device. A digital signal processor (DSP) is used to control the measuring system, to acquire and to process data.
