Abstract
In this paper we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel technique that uses optical asynchro-
nous sampling and double sideband filtering. The purpose is to demonstrate a technique with proper
acquisition time, that dismisses a fast photodetector using optical domain sampling techniques. It also
does not need an high power regime to work, as those techniques employing nonlinear effects. The tech-
nique relates chromatic dispersion with the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which makes this tech-
nique power independent, suitable for reconfigurable networks where packets travel through disctint
paths, thus leading to different power levels.
