Abstract
We present a novel chromatic dispersion monitoring technique, based in asynchronous
optical sampling and double sideband filtering, which calculates the Peak to Average
Power Ratio (PAPR) to monitor the value of chromatic dispersion. The PAPR is
measured taking the ratio between the peak and average optical powers, both
measured directly by an optical sampling oscilloscope. We present results considering
NRZ and RZ modulation formats.
