Abstract
A new wideband antenna for multi WLAN services is presented in this communication. The operating bandwidth extends from 2.4 to 4.8 GHz. The design is based upon an ultrawideband antenna modified by the introduction of a rectangular cavity back that allows having a frequency stable unidirectional radiation pattern. The proposed configuration presents linear polarization with cross polarization level below -20dB. The overall size of the antenna is 0.46 × 0.46 × 0.17 of the wavelength at the lower operating frequency.
