Abstract
Bevelled monopole antennas are evaluated aiming at producing antenna solutions for operation in the UWB FCC (3.1-10.6 GHz) and the EU (6.0-8.5 GHz) defined bands. Three antennas models, corresponding to simple bevelled antennas using air or a 0.060” thick Rogers RO3003 år=3.0 substrate and a bevelled antenna with a winged ground plane, were designed using CST Microwave Studio software tools. Prototypes, smaller then 6 cm2, were built and tested having input reflection coefficients at low levels in almost the entire FCC and EU UWB bands.
