Abstract
Previous presented work showed that magnetically controlled electronic ballasts, with LC resonant tank configuration can present an instability region, which can limit the dimming range. In this paper, a design method for the magnetic regulator that can avoid these instabilities is proposed. In addition, a better efficiency for the dimmable ballast is ensured. Experimental results for 36W linear fluorescent lamp are presented.
