Abstract
This paper compares the performance of RF and DC combining in Wireless Power Transfer systems. Two receivers, one combining in DC and the other in RF, were designed to evaluate their ability to charge a supercapacitor. Experimental results show that RF combining, using a Wilkinson combiner, outperforms DC combining in efficiency and charging speed.
