Abstract
This paper presents a four-channel potentiostat platform developed for real-time multi-analyte electrochemical sensing. The system incorporates a printed circuit board (PCB) with the Artemis microcontroller, providing improved computational performance, power efficiency, and peripheral integration. Two sensor interface strategies were evaluated: a multiplexer-based architecture with a single LMP91000 and an independent configuration employing four LMP91000 potentiostat chips. Comparative analysis showed that the independentchip approach offered superior signal fidelity, minimized cross-talk, and enabled pseudo-simultaneous data acquisition, making it more suitable for continuous monitoring. To support multi-sensor operation, the mobile application was updated to configure and visualize multiple analytes in real time. Additional hardware refinements included the adoption of an external programmer, compact dual-layer PCB layout, and exploration of over-the-air firmware updates. The system provides a compact, adaptable platform with applications in health monitoring, sports performance tracking, and environmental sensing. Experimental validation results are also included.
