Abstract
This paper describes the influence of the laminating technique, typicallyused to produce printed textile antennas,on thereturn loss parameter(S11)of the produced antennas. The sheet resistance (Rs)ofthe conductive fabrics stand-alone was measured considering the use of steam, applying different adhesive sheets and taking into account the surface roughness of the substrate materials. The influence of this technique in the behaviour of a printed textile antennaisalsoanalysed. The results haveshown that the presence of the adhesive sheet may increase the Rsof the conductive materials. Despite that, in a general way, the results of S11of the textile antennaproduced by laminationshow the antennas have a good performance.
