Abstract
In this paper, we propose a Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) algorithm for NG-PON2 to support both 5G fronthaul services and data services able to cope with the delay requirements imposed by 5G fronthaul. The proposed DBA is different from the classical DBA for NG-PON2 in terms of the number and the structure of the allocated time slots at each upstream frame. Moreover, we investigate the number of active ONUs that can be accommodated by our proposal and the provided throughput to data services in every ONU.
