Abstract
Over-the-Top (OTT) services encompass the delivery of video
and audio over the Internet without direct control of Telecom operators. Although OTT content delivery is attractive, low-cost and profitable, it suffers from limitations. In order to increase the number of clients and keep the high Quality-of-Experience (QoE) standards for consumers, an enhanced architecture for content distribution network is needed. In this way, this work proposes an OTT content distribution architecture based on distributed content caching, that reduces load and consumed
bandwidth from upstream servers/origin, thus increasing the number of clients, maintaining high QoE standards.
