Abstract
Organic photovoltaics, and in particular polymer photovoltaic systems, OPV, have been shown a significant
improvement over the years, by virtue of development of new materials and device architectures. Lately, attention has
been drawn to systems involving two polymers blended with the widely used soluble fullerene-C60 derivative, PCBM.
Here we compare the performance of devices based on a polymer that has led to highly efficient OPV, named PTB7,
and PCBM to which a second polymer, namely F8T2 or pBTTT, was added. We find that both polymers addition leads
to increased efficiencies, resulting from a combination of antenna effect and improved charge extraction efficiency.
