Abstract
In this paper we propose a new digital postcompensation
method for an optical transmission system. Our
method will be similar to the methods used in the digital predistortion
applied in the radio frequency power amplifiers. Our
model is applied with 1 sample per symbol, after standard
impairment compensation blocks used in coherent optical
systems, such as Chromatic Dispersion or Backward-Propagation
Split-Step Fourier method. This method allows to reach an
improvement from 7.5% to 5.5% in terms of EVM on the
receiver, in the tested conditions.
