Abstract
Statistics has important roles in the study of networks and their characteristics. It is used for the studies of growth and dynamics of networks. Statistical analysis of optical transport networks (OTNs) is required in several estimation scenarios where the complete information is not available. Limited information may arise, for instance, in the initial planning stage of a network, or in multi-domain or multi-layer networks.
We show the significance of statistical analysis and modeling
in the OTNs and their utilities in the practical classification,
characterization and estimations.
