In order to help those afflicted by diabetes, a disease that affects already a notable amount of people all around the world, we are developing a mobile application where the differentiating factor, to other applications, is a rule based system using medical advices. This rule system, developed with the assistance of an endocrinologist expert, analyses data from the user in order to advise him into the right path. The rule system, using logical rules, is developed so that medical experts can express their advice and imprint them into the system in a trustworthy way.
This system envisions a new approach in the world of diabetes applications. Instead of simply helping the user in her/his daily calculations and records, we propose to go a step further and advise the user.
