Abstract
In this paper we present the development, implementation andsimulation of a simple DHT protocol for a P2P overlaynetwork inspired by small world concepts. Our simulation andimplementation, done on the Peersim java network simulator,showed results consistent with other state of the art DHTimplementations with a more simple and pragmatic approachfor the graph construction algorithm. We present the resultsof simulating this protocol on large P2P networks andcompare them with the results obtained in Symphony, anothersmall world inspired DHT.
