Abstract
The global economic crisis witnessed during the pandemic affected a variety of sectors, including public transportation. In this context, a project involving the extit{Instituto de Telecomunicações} of Aveiro, Portugal, aims to provide passengers with a seamless location-based mobile ticketing solution using a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) based Received Signal Strength (RSS) fingerprinting technique. This paper presents a new approach that combines both RSS and time dimensions in this technique. We assume that time dimensions may help improve the localization's performance. Some preliminary analysis were held and proved that time features have a considerable contribution in the user's location estimation.
