Project: Evaluation of biomechanical load in the muscle-scheleton system

Acronym: ESQUELETO
Main Objective:
The project has the main objective of developing a set of experimental and numerical tools for the study of the mechanical load applied to the musculoskeletal system associated with human motion. It comprises the development of models for data acquisition and processing, combining signal processing, feature extraction and supervised pattern recognition techniques and applying clustering techniques for exploratory data analysis.
These tools can be used for performance evaluation and diagnosis of a wide range of physical exercises performed under several human and physical environments (sports, ergonomics, health and fitness, among others).
