Acronym: Tecnovoz |
Main Objective: Tecnovoz is a national collaborative project involving 4 scientific organizations that work on speech recognition and speech synthesis and 8 industrial organizations that want to introduce speech technology in their products. This project represents an opportunity for Portugal to play a major role in this technology and to have a word in the development of speech applications using its own language. The project started in July, 2006 and, in the end, 14 different applications and services are expected to use speech as an alternative to other input/output interfaces. |
