PROJECT / ANCHOR

PROJECT: Advanced Network Connectivity using Harmonious Optical and Radio Technologies
ACRONYM: ANCHOR
MAIN OBJECTIVE: ANCHOR shall leverage the progress beyond millimetre-wave (mmWave), THz, fibre and OWC to develop intelligent, multi-functional and scalable harmonious optical and radio wireless technologies that will be a driving force for the acceleration, implementation and adaptation of the next generation of communication. ANCHOR aims to extend the network from 2D to 3D using underwater and tropospheric platforms (including HAPS, and drones) for wider coverage and cooperation, harmonization and optimisation of optical and radio techniques to ensure interoperability, resource optimisation and EE.
