Project: RADAVANT RAdar para Detection and Avoidance em Veículos Aéreos Não Tripulados | Radar for Detection and Avoidance in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Acronym: RADAVANT
Main Objective:
The RADAVANT project aims to research and develop a joint communication with radar-type sensing system to improve flight safety and control of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) dedicated to utilities and infrastructure inspection. The system will be designed to operate particularly in Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) and high interference scenarios, where detection and avoidance is most critical. The conception, construction and deployment of such a system will result in more cost efficient inspection services and add more value to other services delivered by UAVs.
