Creating and sharing knowledge for telecommunications

Project: Vehicular Delay-Tolerant Networks

Acronym: VDTN
Main Objective:
• Proposal of a layered architecture for VDTN using out-of-band signalling based on the separation of the control plane and data plane and evaluation of its performance. A prototype will be created to demonstrate this approach. The prototype will allow to validate the VDTN architecture, determine the relationships between the network parameters, and their influence on the performance of the protocols proposed for these networks.
• Proposal of a multicast routing protocol for VDTN and integration in the VDTN architecture.
• Proposal of new routing protocol(s) for the VDTN architecture based on biological behaviour algorithms for finding an available set of Point to Multi-Point and Multi-Point to Point source-destination paths.
