About the position By order issued by the Director General of the Telecommunications Institute on June 1st, 2026, it was approved to open an international call to select one candidate researcher in the scientific scope of the project ALBATROZ - NAP, under the scope of a term contract, with a termination date undetermined, overseen by Portuguese Labour Code. Job description: • Scientific coordination of activities on the project in activities 10 (MOP - Especificações Técnicas) and 11 (MOP - Investigação de Soluções), mais precisamente 5G Scenarios – CDN, 5G Scenarios - AI Algorithms, 5G Scenarios - Private/Public, Future - Data Path Computing / SDN, Future – Intent-Based Management. • Coordination of students and scholarships. • Coordination of scientific articles |

Your required profile Any national, foreign and stateless candidate(s) holding a doctorate degree electrical, informatics, telecommunications engineering or other related scientific area and a suita-ble scientific and professional curriculum may submit an application. In case the degree has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 341/2007 of 12th of October, and all formalities established therein must be fulfilled, by the selected candidate, until the date of signa-ture of the contract. The ideal candidate must have knowledge on the area of communication networks, 5G net-works, great-motivation and ability for teamwork. Your current track record of scientific publications, and or project involvement, and student supervision complies with the Productivity Criteria in force at Instituto de Telecomunicações, verifiable from your provided CV. |
