About the position A research position for one Research Grant (“Bolsa de Investigação Pós-doutoral“) is open at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project PhotonAI – Cutting-edge Photonic-Digital Hybrid Architecture for Next-Generation AI. This project is funded by FCT/MECI through national funds and when applicable co-funded EU funds under the 2024.14411.PEX project reference. A postdoctoral researcher will be recruited within the scope of this project for a one-year period (100% full-time commitment) to make a significant contribution to the implementation of machine learning (ML) algorithms. The postdoc is expected to have proven experience in ML models and Python programming. |

Your required profile - The PhD must have been obtained in the last 3 years and the research work shouldn't have been developed at IT, along with the other conditions set by the Fellowship Regulation of Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia; - PhD in Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field; - Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages; - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, as well as the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams; - Experience with machine learning techniques. Your current track record of scientific publications, and or project involvement, and student supervision complies with the Productivity Criteria in force at Instituto de Telecomunicações, verifiable from your provided CV. |
