About the position

According to the decisions of the Board of Directors of Instituto de Telecomunicações taken in its meetings of May 25, 2023, it was approved to open an international call to select one (1) PhD researcher, in order to consolidate the capabilities of the Optics and Photonics Group of Instituto de Telecomunicações – Polo de Aveiro, in the scientific scope of the project CEECINSTLA/00034/2022, under an open-ended employment contract, in accordance with the Portuguese Labour Code, for the performance of the following duties:

To develop scientific research in the field of quantum communications. A fundamental requirement is solid theoretical and experimental knowledge in quantum communications.

Your required profile

Any national, foreign, and stateless candidate(s) holding a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics or other related scientific fields and a suitable scientific and professional curriculum may submit an application. In case the degree has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, the degree must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 341/2007 of 12th of October, and all formalities established therein must be fulfilled, by the selected candidate, until the date of signature of the contract.

Your current track record of scientific publications, and or project involvement, and student supervision complies with the Productivity Criteria in force at Instituto de Telecomunicações, verifiable from your provided CV.
