Admission Requirements:
Ph.D. (doutorado) degree in electrical or electronics engineering, or equivalent, with solid background in the area of telecommunications; relevant work experience on Software Defined Radio, FPGA-based design, Mahworks Matlab, Simulink and HDL Coder tools, VHDL or Verilog languages and embedded software based on C/C++. The PhD degree must have been obtained in the three years prior to the date of submission of this scholarship application.
Work Objectives:
Design, implementation, validation, integration and test of the digital subsystems and software modules of an SDR-based link for avionics/satellite communications.
Applicable legislation:
A fellowship will be celebrated according to the regulations defined by FCT, “Regulation of Instituto de Telecomunicações’ fellowships” and “Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação”, according to Law no. 40/2004, dated August 18 (Status of Scientific Research Fellow), in its actual redaction, and also by Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P. Fellowship Regulation of Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia. Place of work:
The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Arnaldo Oliveira.
Duration:
6 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: April 2021 or soon thereafter.
Monthly salary:
1646.00€ according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores ). The payment will be made by bank transfer.

Each criteria, and the final classification F will be evaluated in a scale (0-20). The candidates will be ordered according to:
F = C1 x 50% + C2 x 50%
In case of a tie, the tied candidates will be ordered according to C1, then C2...
The Jury has the right to not admit any of the candidates that applied for this position whenever they consider that no candidate meets the minimum requirements for the position.

Communication of the results:
DEADLINES AND PROCEDURES FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, CLAIMS AND APPEALS
Once the provisional ranked list of the evaluation results has been communicated, applicants have 10 business days to, if they wish, dispute the decision during the preliminary hearing phase, according to Articles no. 121 and the following of the Administrative Procedure Code (CPA).
The final decision will be disclosed after the analysis of the applicants’ arguments presented in the preliminary hearing. The final decision can be claimed within 15 business days or, alternatively, appealed within 30 business days, after the communication of the results, respectively. Applicants who choose to submit a claim should present their arguments to the member of the FCT Board of the Directors with the delegated competence. Applicants who prefer to submit an appeal should present their arguments to the FCT Board of Directors.
Results will be published at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, in Aveiro. The selected candidate will be notified by email.
