Summary: A research position for one Research Grant (“Bolsa de Investigação“) is opened at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project UID/EEA/50008/2019, funded by the applicable financial framework (FCT/MCTES) (PIDDAC). The work for this position is in the area of Electronic Design Automation.
Scientific Area: Basic Sciences and Enabling Technologies

Admission Requirements: Master degree, Experience in scientific research of Electronic Design Automation
Work Objectives: The work should explore, develop and validate new yield estimation techniques applied to the analog IC design. The work should be integrated on the in-house design automation environment AIDA. The work should be extensively validated for different technology nodes and different analog circuit design case studies, e.g., bandgap circuits, amplifiers, etc. Finally, the work should also be validated against the existing commercial solutions highlighting the benefits of the developed solution.

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at Lisbon under the supervision of Professor Nuno Horta
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: 1st March 2019 (or soon thereafter).
Monthly salary: 980 € (net), according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The payment will be made by bank transfer.

Curriculum vitae/Academic evaluation  (40%)
Suitability of the candidates’ profile to the project based on the relevant work experience in the tasks described in the work plan  (50%)
Fluency in oral and written English  (10%)
