Haoran Chi, our researcher, was recently awarded the 2024 IEEE Communications Standards Magazine Exemplary Editor from the IEEE Communications Society, for his remarkable contributions to the journal's editorial.
The IEEE Communications Standards Magazine aims to be a platform for presenting and discussing a broad variety of standards-related topics in the area of communications. This quarterly magazine will cover areas of communication and networking standards, as well as the role of standards in technical innovation in communications, the effect of intellectual property on communication technology standardization, and research on standardization methodologies in communications.
Haoran Chi has been the Associate Editor of IEEE Communications Standards Magazine since 2024. He has been a researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações since 2019. Before that, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in July 2018, and his Bachelor with First Class Honor from the same university in 2013. He worked as a research scholar at the North Carolina State University in 2018-2019. During this journey, he gained expertise and knowledge in 5G (beyond) telecommunication, cloud/fog-based network management, ICT energy efficiency optimization, and machine learning during his career.
