The IT researcher, former Dean of the University of Lisbon, and Professor of the Instituto Superior Técnico António Cruz Serra was elected to the Board of Directors of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The official ceremony will be held on May 12, 2022.

Born in Coimbra in 1956, António Cruz Serra holds a doctorate (1992) and a master's degree (1985) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (1978), and he is member of IT since 1999.
