Prof Mário Silveirinha form Coimbra and Prof Nuno Borges de Carvalho from Aveiro were elected Fellow members of IEEE. The number of IEEE Fellows in IT now totals six, the highest in any Portuguese R&D institution. IEEE Fellow is a distinction reserved for select IEEE members whose extraordinary accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest are deemed fitting of this prestigious grade elevation.
