This is an integrated project funded by CCDR Centro under the Centro 2030 Programme (Portugal 2030), with a total investment of approximately €850,000.
The project’s scientific leadership is led by Bruno Miguel Silva (UBI Department of Computer Science and Instituto de Telecomunicações) and Cristina Fael (Department of Civil Engineering and C-MADE - Centre of Materials and Building Technologies), as Co-Principal Investigator. IT, in Covilhã, is one of the research units involved in the project.
Both emphasise the integrative nature of the initiative, which brings together expertise from multiple disciplines to support the development of safer, more efficient, and healthier cities. The project also includes an 8-month real-world pilot in the partner municipalities to validate the developed technologies.
