On June 29th, the Técnico Innovation Center hosted DEEC’s ELECTRODAY, an event dedicated to showcasing the cutting-edge work of final-year students from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. The event highlighted projects spanning various fields, including energy, software, health, technology, and engineering.
The Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) participated in two notable projects. Raquel Martins, a PhD candidate from the Antennas and Propagation lab, presented a project in the area of health and communication technologies, titled "MWI MedScan - Contactless Microwave Imaging for Breast Cancer Screening." Additionally, Dario Pasadas, Mohsen Barzegar, Muchao Zhang, Lian Xie, and Prashanth Baskaran, from the Instruments and Measurements lab, showcased their setup titled "Structural Health Monitoring System for Composite Joints."
Events like ELECTRODAY provide an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their remarkable work while fostering networking opportunities between students and research units within the department.
