CONNECT5 is made up of the following entities specialized in the areas of information, communication, and electronic technologies: TICE.PT Association, CEiiA Interface Centers and Instituto de Telecomunicações, Colab DTx, University of Aveiro, University of Beira Interior (UBI), University of Coimbra, University of Minho, University of Porto, as well as Polytechnic of Leiria, Polytechnic of Porto and the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu.

CONNECT5 aims to become a national and European reference DIH, by providing advanced services in the areas of integrated connectivity systems and CPS through the combination of 5G, cloud systems, IoT, Big Data capabilities, to SMEs and public organizations, enabling them to access the latest knowledge, expertise and technology for testing and experimenting with digital innovations relevant to their activity, products, processes or business models.

CONNECT5 DIH embodies an innovative initiative in the field of digital transformation, aiming to foster the development of integrated and cross-cutting connectivity solutions, from sensors to edge/cloud infrastructures, data storage and processing. CONNECT5 gathers some of the leading national players in ICT & Electronics, including research & technology organizations (RTO), higher education institutions, and entities working on the dissemination of the Industry such as Clusters, located in different regions of Portugal, which will provide state-of-the-art infrastructures and expertise in this scope of application, as well as their strong knowledge networks with other DIHs, technology clusters and some of the main business players in the ICT & Electronics field and access to their respective solutions.

On the 28th of January, CONNECT5 - National Digital Innovation Network (DIH) - was approved under the PRR program.
