José Carlos Pedro, from IT in Aveiro, has been selected by the Administrative Committee of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques (MTT) Society to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on MTT, along with Luca Perregrini (University of Pavia). They will serve for the period of 2017-2019.

On their first message, the co-editors stated their “intend to go beyond the standard paper that describes very specific original results and promote high-level review and tutorial papers, which are more appropriate to give a more integrated view of a particular microwaves´ theoretical field or engeneering practice”.

Highly regarded by researchers and engineers as the most influential journal in the microwaves area for the past 63 years, the MTT transactions journal disseminates scientific results related to the design and application of high-frequency devices, circuits and systems.
