“Facedecode” was awarded the 1st Prize of the iUP25k 2015
The business idea “Facedecode – We make faces”, presented by Veronica Orvalho, Catarina Miranda, Pedro Mendes and César Ferreira, researchers from Porto Interactive Center (PIC), was awarded the first prize, in the total amount of 15.000€, of the 2015 edition of iUP25k – business ideas competition of the University of Porto. The presented technology enables the creation of avatars in a quick and simple way. The iUP25k is an initiative launched in 2010 by the University of Porto, through its Entrepreneurship Club (CEDUP) and the University of Porto Innovation Office (UPIN), with the main objectives of distinguishing entrepreneurial initiatives and promoting the emergence of business projects promoted by UPorto’s community of students and alumnae. iUP25k is one of the most important higher education awards fostering entrepreneurship in Portugal.
