IT is promoting a traineeship in "Introduction to Telecommunications" and “Initiation to Electronics and Telecommunications” between June 29th and July 3rd.

IT Labs in Lisbon (Instituto Superior Técnico) and Covilhã (Faculdade de Engenharia, UBI) are once again involved in Ciência Viva Summer Courses for high school students. They will have the opportunity of a hands-on experience in the labs under the guidance of experienced researched. In
Lisbon they will buid their own radios to take home and to test fiber optics communication circuits. In Covilhã, they will have an initiation to electronics and telecommunications. This initiative involves about 50 students.

The initiative includes an overview of telecommunication topics, Lab Works, experiments and visits to research Labs and a telecommunication site as well as sportive and cultural activities.
