Not far from now, you will be able to be the character of your own videogame or movie. Thanks to a team from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, where some researchers from IT belong, an application has been developed to enable the creation of Avatars by anybody, anywhere, at low-cost.

In practical terms, this means that the user will have the opportunity to create his own virtual version in around two hours (definite expected time: 15 minutes) and take action in digital contents such as movies, videogames, virtual environments or live performances.

With this idea and project, this team has earned the 1st place on the 2015 iUP25k Edition and the Best TIC award.”
