Following a deliberation from the Senate, the University of Beira Interior will award the Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Prof Carlos Salema in the Opening Ceremony of the 2014/2015 Academic Year. This degree conferred by UBI is intended to honor eminent national and foreign personalities of recognized merit in the fields of education, science, culture, art and social activities which have contributed to the growth of Portugal or the University.
