This bestowment follows the nomination as IEEE Fellow Member, the higher degree to which a member may ascend in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
This is a three-year term position (2014-2016). As a Distinguished Microwave Lecturer (DML), José Carlos Pedro will have, for the next three years, the mission to disclose, in lectures and discussions before the overall regional groups of the IEEE the state-of-art of the various branches of electrical engineering and its likely direction for the future.
