Jean Araujo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Aveiro (Portugal), a permanent member of the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science at the Federal University of Sergipe (Brazil), and a CNPq productivity fellow in technological development and innovative extension - Level 2. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (2012-2017) from the Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco, and Post-Doctorates at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon (2017-2018) and at the Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco (2021-2022).
He was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon, an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Agreste de Pernambuco, a Professor at the Academic Unit of Garanhuns of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco, as well as a mentor of the Locus of Technological Innovation in Milk Production of the State of Pernambuco and a Scholarship Holder for the Promotion of Innovation (BFI-3) of the Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology of the State of Pernambuco. In addition, he is a founder of the UNAME Research Group, a member of the MoDCS Research Group and a researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications (Aveiro, Portugal). He works mainly in the area of Distributed Systems, with experience in the areas of cloud computing, system performance evaluation, software aging and rejuvenation, Linux systems, analytical and simulation models, and intellectual property.
