On September 17, Aveiro hosted the public presentation of prototypes developed under the project, as part of the Smart and Sustainable Mobility Week.

Portugal's Autonomous Mobility Stalled by Legislative Barriers – Insights from Susana Sargento and Joaquim Ferreira

Bio

Joaquim Ferreira is a Coordinating Professor at the University of Aveiro and senior researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications. Joaquim Ferreira holds a Ph.D. and Habilitation in Informatics Engineering from the University of Aveiro and is a senior member of the IEEE.
His main research interests are Dependable Distributed Systems, focusing on Fault-Tolerant Real-Time Communications, Distributed Embedded Systems, Distributed Ledger Technologies, Vehicular Communications, and Cooperative Connected and Automated Mobility.
He is the author or co-author of over 120 publications, was the principal researcher in several research projects, and coordinated IT participation in national and international projects.
