Research in this Group aims the development of novel optical devices and components focused on applications, such as internet of things, new space technology, next generation optical communication systems, low energy systems, e-health or water quality monitoring. Examples of technologies and components to be researched include efficient ultra-high resolution and sensitive sensors supported by artificial intelligence algorithms, laser inscribed components, metamaterials, photonic integrated circuits or 3D printed optical components.
