The broad mission of the Network Architecture and Protocols in Lisbon is to advance our knowledge of networking, and to develop communication solutions and technologies for the Internet. Currently, the group has a strong focus on scalable Internet routing, wireless and sensor networks, intrusion detection techniques based on the statistical classification of Internet traffic, and interactive multimedia communications.
