The Instrumentation and Measurement Group activity encompasses all aspects of Metrology including, but not limited to, the development of measuring methods, design of sensors and actuators and their integration in devices and systems, design and implementation of hardware and software for measuring systems, telemetry, and analogue and digital signal processing. The Group aims at developing solutions, particularly of the automated type, for the measurement of electrical and non-electrical quantities. Application areas include, among others, biomedicine, environmental monitoring, non-destructive testing, and power quality.
