Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) and Universiy of Beira Interior (UBI) are promoting a seminar on the latest trends in Cloud Computing, Virtualization, and Security in Hybrid Infrastructures. The event will be held on April 14, 2025, at the Amphitheatre Parada, UBI, starting at 11 am.
The seminar will feature the participation of experts from Arrow ECS Portugal, who will share valuable insights on the adoption of innovative technologies in the business sector. The topics covered are: (I) Adoption of Cloud Computing in the corporate sector; (ii) Security and virtualization in hybrid infrastructure; (iii) Emerging trends: AI applied to the Cloud and automation; (iv) Practical cases and best market practices.

Manuel Trindade – Graduated in Computer Engineering and Information Management, with over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology sector. At Arrow ECS Portugal, he works as a Partner Enablement & Solutions Architect, assisting companies and clients in adopting cloud computing and hybrid infrastructure security. He is also a visiting professor in postgraduate and undergraduate programs at the Institute of Advanced Technologies (ISTEC).
Afonso Fonseca – Cloud Sales Specialist at Arrow ECS Portugal, focused on digital transformation and the implementation of cloud business solutions. The International Conference on Consumer Technology (ICCT-Europe 2025) will bring together top technical professionals from the consumer electronics and technology industry and academia to exchange information and results of recent work on systems, circuits, technologies, processes, and applications.
ICCT 2025 follows the successful 12th IEEE ISCE, which was also held in the Algarve in 2008. It will provide a forum for researchers, system developers, and service providers to share ideas, designs, and experiences on emerging technology. The Algarve is the right environment to embrace ICCT-Europe 2025.
The IEEE Consumer Electronics Society sponsors the best paper with a financial prize. All papers will be published at IEEE Explore. A selected set of papers from ICCTEurope 2025 program will be invited for re-submission to special issues of peer-reviewed journals (IEEE CE Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics) based on the reviewer’s feedback and the quality of the conference presentation.
