The IEEE 5G Lisbon Summit is part of a successful series of 5G Summits that have been held since 2015 in America, Asia and Europe, and will contribute to continuous provision of a platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from the industry and academic community to collaborate and exchange ideas in this emerging technology that may help in driving the standards and rapid deployment.

The event will be held in Instituto de Telecomunicações/ISCTE-IUL on January 19th, 2017, in Lisbon, Portugal, co-located with the 22nd Seminar of the Portuguese Network of Excellence for Mobile Communications (RTCM), to be held on January 18th, 2017. The programme is composed of a rich blend of speakers from industry, academia, research labs, standardization and regulation bodies, covering different main topics, and is organized into five technical sessions together with a Panel on How Far is the Horizon of 5G Networks:
