... Domingos Barbosa (IT - UA) is a guest keynote speaker at the 76th United Nations General Assembly Science Summit (SSUNGA76), which is a great honor.

The theme of the presentation is about the cooperation mechanisms AERAP (Afr-Eu Radio Platform), the SDGs (Societal Development Goals), and Africa. The session focus on alignment with the NDICI, the cooperation mechanism with Africa that was launched by the EC. AERAP has always been strongly driven by South Africa in the US Parliament and has been instrumental in the success of the SKA.

The Science Summit at UNGA76 has a major contribution to advancing Science for the UN SDGs and this year will have a particular focus on the Sustainable Development Goals and relations with Africa. More Information..

5the Edition of Altice International Innovation Award (AIIA)

... Altice International Innovation Award (AIIA) intends to award projects from finalist students and startups in the incubation phase, who present innovative projects in technological areas relevant to Altice International’s core business, regardless of the background of their authors/promoters.

The winning Master's or Ph.D. students will be awarded a money prize of €25.000. The winning Startups (up to 3 years old) will be awarded a money prize of €50.000; yet, this year’s edition has extra prizes.

The “Inclusive by Fundação Altice Portugal” initiative promotes good digital inclusion practices, particularly in the school, professional and social contexts, providing a set of services, solutions, and technological initiatives for people with disabilities. The projects that promote the digital inclusion of people with special needs, may also qualify to earn an additional €15,000. As a part of the partnership between Altice Labs and the National Innovation Agency (ANI), AIIA is also promoting the "Born From Knowledge (BfK)" Awards, which aims to distinguish Portuguese “knowledge-born” projects, as well as Portuguese startups that stand out, the most in R&D activities.
